Saturday, May 7, 2011 was the first FANA 5K run/walk. It was so inspiring to see nearly 300 people, young and old, getting active to raise money for such a deserving cause. FANA is an organization supporting orphanages in Columbia. The money raised during the event helps support and rescue children; to get them off the streets and into a safe and warm home. This event started with the 5K run/walk, and then there were diaper races for young children and the half mile race for older children. I walked the 5K and had the chance to meet and talk with many new friends. I also ran the half mile with some of my new younger friends. It ended up being a beautiful day and I was so grateful to be a part of it.
Great Blog, beautiful pictures and very descriptive script. Looked like a lot of fun!
