First classroom visit as Miss West Metro

Last Tuesday, March 8th, was my first classroom appearance as Miss West Metro! I was so excited to get the class up and moving; my visit started with an introduction my new title and discussion of my platform, Dance This Weigh. Then, I read the newly released book Silverlicious. We ended this fabulous visit by all getting up and moving. As a class we danced the Cupid Shuffle, did some free style dance, and showed off our favorite moves.  I had a wonderful time and can't wait to visit again soon.

Samantha Phillippi crowned Miss West Metro 2011

Saturday night, February 26, I was crowned Miss West Metro 2011 at the Miss Minnesota Sweeps pageant.  Allison Lordbock was crowned my sister queen, Miss City of Lakes.  I am so thankful and blessed to have such a supportive group of family and friends; many were in the audience cheering me on.  I am excited to see what the next few months may bring.  Miss Minnesota will be here before I know it.
